Did you know that in fall the leaves change their color? They turn from green to half green and have yellow and all that stuff. The color of the leaf is produced by chlorophyll.
I will tell you why they change color. The chlorophyll comes from solar light. If the day is really long, then a lot of chlorophyll is produced. If the day becomes short less chlorophyll is produced. The leaves become more sensitive. Then, they feel crunchy. Finally the color changes and the leaves start to fall. That’s also why the season is called Fall. So, Autumn has short days. That leads to less chlorophyll being produced.
    Extra Things
The color has a variety of patterns. Like in the link where it says an autumn leaf the color is red from the outline. The middle is green and there is a hole in the leaf but that doesn’t matter. That part is not the color pattern.
In conclusion, the leaves changes color in the fall (autumn). The days become shorter. To me that’s interesting. Is it to you?
