Painted Lady Butterfly - Butterfly Utopia
On a very hot day we went to the school backyard. It was so much fun because we got to talk to our neighbors and the kindergarten children about the butterflies. Can you guess what what we did in the school backyard? We were letting the butterflies go home. Madison and Sobia got to hold the butterfly net. Sobia opened the butterfly net so the butterflies could fly. Mr. Jump said, “Before you let the butterflies go you should make a wish.”
My wish was to let the butterflies find a good home. We let all five Painted Lady butterflies go. Mrs. Canja had a butterfly in her hand too because when she opened the butterfly net some of the butterflies would not fly out so she had to help them fly home. After that we were going home. I said, “Goodbye butterflies, I will see you at the park again.”
Later that day I went to Avenue J Park and I saw the butterflies in the sky. I said, “Bye, bye butterflies,” again as they flew off in the blue sky to collect clear nectar and find a home.
