I can help my neighborhood by not littering and help with cleaning up, volunteering in schools and community centers. Helping the elders in Homes for the Elderly and even in their houses. Also, you can make a difference by encouraging your friends and classmates to do the right things at all times. Show them how these things could be fun instead of feeling like it is work. Help out at home with chores that you are able to do that will give your parents a chance to relax and fit some quality play and fun time in with the kids. Also, you can volunteer at the public library by sorting the books in alphabetical order. Talk to your teacher about discussing with your school principal about finding a place in the area where the school could plant a garden to brighten up the neighborhood. Also try to bring up ideas with the principal and teachers about activities after school that would occupy the kids and get them to exercise instead of sitting in front of the television at home. This will keep them off the streets and prevent them from getting into trouble. These are just a few things that kids can do to help out in the community. What would you do?
